The Moment of Truth is Now

Not long before this match, Riley Matthews fulfilled a dream by winning the PGWA Championship.  However, as the glow from that triumph began to fade, she learned what every titleholder does:  winning a belt is one thing, but keeping it is entirely another.

And she’s certainly going to learn that the hard way, as her very first title defense is against the menacing Mika, who believes that the fact that her debut PGWA match is for the belt means that fate has destined her to win.

Neither wrestler underestimates the other, and Riley and Mika unleash a fast-paced battle that swings back and forth between them.  But when Mika manages to sustain the upper hand, she pummels and punishes the Champ for long minutes, subjecting poor Riley to a battering she may never have endured before.  And more than once, Riley’s fans held their collective breath as Mika came within a half-second of getting a three count and claiming the gold!

But true champions are fighters to their core. Riley proves this by battling back, and this turns into a slobber knocker that pushes both wrestlers past their limits and leaves them utterly spent…but with one victoriously holding the belt, and the other driven to defeat!
