It would be hard to find two wrestlers who are such opposites. First there is Onyx, the veteran grappler hailing from the snowy climes of Juneau, Alaska. Then there is her opponent, comparative newcomer Sahara Se7en, the exotic daughter of Cairo, Egypt. As different as winter and summer, they came crashing together the night of January 16th in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. And as we all know, when a cold front and a warm front collide, the result is a storm of devastating fury!
And it was a tremendous fight right from the opening bell! In a contest of pure skill, Sahara gave as good as she got, and could quite possibly have fought Onyx to at least a standstill. However, the veteran didn’t make the journey to end up with a draw, so she very quickly demonstrated why she is so renowned for her rulebreaking skills. Sahara was repeatedly thrown on the defensive as Onyx made her disdain for the rulebook abundantly clear.
Her opponent wasn’t the only target of Onyx’s wrath; she made efforts to both insult the crowd as well as argue strenuously with the referee. It’s no stretch of the imagination to say that as the match progressed, most every person in the arena not named “Onyx” were actively pulling for Sahara to win!
Alas, the veteran’s experience and vicious tactics carried the day for her. But rather than being discouraged by her defeat, Sahara is fired up for a rematch, where she intends to show Onxy that no matter what cheap shots and dirty tricks she pulls, it won’t be enough to carry her to victory a second time!
