The 4th match from the all women show...
The moment we announced that both Rachel and Mickie were signed for "A Call to Arms", the PGWA began receiving emails from fans, asking/pleading that these two powerhouses be matched against each other. Heeding the call of the fans, Commissioner Susan Green booked the match, and the buzz of excitement was almost palpable as the day grew nearer.
The afternoon of the event, Rachel came to the arena and, still in her street clothes, taped an interview segment. But Mickie, anxious to make a statement in her own inimitable way, rushed out of the locker room and blindsided the Brit! The two slugged it out until other wrestlers managed to separate them, but the stage was now set for this to be a very personal battle between the two.
In her pre-match remarks, Mickie speaks to an audience of one, and that one is Miss Rachel: "You bow down to me! I am the one that is somebody here! I am the baddest bitch thatís here!"
Going into this fight, Rachel knew she is one of the few women who can get every bit as physical in a brawl as the fabled "Queen of Mean", Mickie, and that coupled with her European-based technical skills, she hoped that would give her the edge. But what she wasn't expecting is that the hardcore American is also highly versed in technical grappling. The end result is that neither can seize a clear advantage over the other, forcing them both to rely on roughhouse tactics in the hopes of KOing the other!
As you might expect, this turns out to be one wild battle... even the referee isn't spared from the punishment!
