It’s hard to believe that it has been 7 years since this match took place in Manchester, England at Pippa L’Vinn’s Wrestling Factory.
Recently Nikki Storm is beginning to get a big push from the WWE as Nikki Cross, but anyone who saw her in action earlier in her career knew that stardom was in her future. Nikki is from Glasgow, Scotland and has certainly paid her dues to be part of the WWE organization…and they’re lucky to have her!
Nikki’s a definite ball of fire in the ring, but this time she’s going up against “England’s Fury” herself, Lisa King, in a match that fans are still talking about years later!
Their names alone should give you a hint of the action that unfolds between these two… a furious storm that the ring can barely contain!
Britain’s Lisa and Scotland’s Nikki are reminiscent in ways of two other longtime PGWA favorites: Nikki, much like fellow brunette Roxi, seems all sunshine and sweetness… until you provoke her, and suddenly she’s a raging wildcat! And Lisa, much like Pippa L’Vinn, employs a steady stream of taunts and teases to rattle her opponent, hoping to throw her off of her game.
Both beauties possess tremendous skills, which are on full display as this match seesaws back and forth between them, neither one either to control the battle for long before the other deftly counters and seizes the upper hand… only to lose it herself soon enough. And so the action goes, Fury and Storm punishing one another, sometimes with roughhouse tactics.
The minutes painfully draw on until both women are fighting exhaustion as much as they are fighting each other. Suddenly, one manages to snare the other in an agonizing hold, determined to make her rival submit… and she finds success! Impressively, for all of the animosity between them during the fight, their grudging respect is displayed as they share a post-match handshake. The weary winner then gives us a few brief remarks in the locker room, basking in the glow of victory.
Two of the UK’s very best battle it out brilliantly in this one… so what possible excuse could you have for not adding it to your collection?!?
