LADYSPORTS: Welcome to Ladysports, Shaloncé . Tell us, when did you first get into the sport?
SHALONCÉ ROYAL: I started training for pro wrestling approximately December 2017.
LS: And who trained you?
SR: QT Marshall and Glacier.
LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
SR: ME.
LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
SR: Soccer, Judo and Brazillian Jiujitsu.
LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
SR: Determined, talented, and unique.
I like Oreos, Hibachi, and winning!
I dislike spiders, losing, and arrogant people.
My strength is, I’m tiny but mighty!
LS: What is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
SR: Marked? As in what makes me stand out? My singing of course! No one can put on a performance like I do!
LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
SR: Depending on the day, I begin the morning with mediation and tea. Then I work on cardio, legs, core,
or arms… depending on the day. And if I am available, I attend wrestling training at night.
LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
SR: Versatile. Never know what you need to do because all opponents are different. However, most don’t
compare to me!
LS: What moves are you best known for?
SR: Singing in the ear of my opponents, drop kicks, and arm drags!
LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
SR: Yes.
LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
SR: Nyla Rose
LS: What has been your most memorable win?
SR: When I won in my hometown!
LS: What was your worst loss?
SR: Facing Nyla Rose on AEW DARK.
LS: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven’t yet?
SR: Sasha Banks.
LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
SR : A good old fashioned singles match.
LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
SR: They wonder why I chose wrestling when I am so good at other things as well!
LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
SR: That it’s a sport and art!
LS: What are your fans like?
SR: Heavily devoted to me!
LS: If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
SR: Bring back the true separation of Shoot and Kayfabe.
LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
SR: A lot of places and a few titles! I’m Shaloncé Royal, you should have looked it up!
LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
SR: It’s a sport for both men and women and everyone needs to work hard at it.
LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the sport?
SR: My first PPV as a wrestler with AEW
LS: Any regrets?
SR: Not starting sooner.
LS: What would you do if you couldn’t be in wrestling?
SR: A singer and actress, obviously!
LS: What is your personal motto?
SR: No What Ifs.
LS: What would make you most happy in life?
SR: To be successful in pro wrestling, Music, and Acting.
