And wily Sumie has done her homework, learning that Tracy recently made a heel turn. Deciding
that the smart strategy is to fight fire with fire, Sakai from the very start plays rough
with the Champ, holding nothing back and rocking the Hawaiian again and again. Eventually,
Taylor gets her bearings and battles back, and that’s when this one really gets wild!
Sumie takes full advantage of the SAWmill’s high ceiling for some off-the-top rope aerial
assaults. Tracy reciprocates with some surprisingly adept gymnastics of her own. The action
runs the gamut from such technical moves as the Corkscrew Bodyslam, German Suplex, Flying
Headscissors and DDT, to plain old punching, kicking and hairpulling! In fact, these two
really put the boots to one another throughout the match, and there’s no doubt that both
went home with plenty of bruises in the shape of their opponent’s heel!
Frustrated by her inability to pin the Champ, Sumie goes so far as to grab a steel chair
from ringside, and what started as a wrestling match comes down to little more than a
back alley street fight! Ultimately, Tracy claims the win, but only after a spectacularly
unexpected effort. And in her post-match interview, Taylor is suddenly interrupted by a
woman who ventured a very long way, just for the pleasure of challenging the PGWA
Champion face-to-face!
