LADYSPORTS: Welcome to LadySports, Viktoria! Tell us, when did you first get into the sport?
VIKTORIA: January, 2001
LS: And who trained you?
V: I've learned wrestling from Kriszta, a former DWW wrestler.
LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
V: Actually, I initially did not have an interest to do it at all, but then I visited a DWW
event in Budapest, tried it and loved it.
LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
V: Swimming, and recently gym training with a personal trainer.
LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes,
and strengths?
V: I am always nice to those who are nice to me, but try to ignore those who are not.
My strength is probably patience, my weakness is... well, sometimes I am very lazy.
LS: What is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
V: Calmness.
LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
V: The best thing my personal trainer does is that he always gives me new exercises, so
the training is never boring. We combine cardio and weights.
LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
V: Always calm and relaxed. Someone once described me as a 'Swan'.
LS: What moves are you best known for?
V: Scissors, scissors and more scissors!
LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
V: Once I broke my ribs... I was in pain for six weeks.
LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
V: There are some who have been very tough. I do not underestimate anyone.
LS: What has been your most memorable win?
V: I am always happy and proud when I win against somebody really good.
LS: What was your worst loss?
V: I do not like cheating or fights with girls with vicious wrestling styles. For example, I never
choke, but once I lost a match only because the other girl kept choking me.
LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
V: A fair match, when I know that my opponent is as safe as I am and
avoids injuries.
LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
V: They are surprised and then curious... they want to know every little detail
LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
V: It is very special to me because until I was 22 I was not interested in any martial arts at all.
Then I tried it and thought, 'This is for me!' It teaches you self-confidence, respect, patience and even logical thinking.
LS: What are your fans like?
V: They are mostly very nice.
LS: What great contribution would you like to make to the sport?
V: Maybe I would open a gym as well and teach other girls.
LS: Where have you wrestled?
V: I started at DWW and I have worked with many organizations, mainly in Europe. SouthernBelles is
my first opportunity to wrestle specifically for American fans.
LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
V: I support them!
LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the sport?
V: Every moment is unforgettable and unique, but the most wonderful is when I am on the mat and get a big applause for my efforts.
LS: Any regrets?
V: No, other than that I could have started wrestling earlier.
LS: What would you do if you couldn't be in wrestling?
V: Writing a book on it!
LS: What would make you most happy in life?
V: If I could do wrestling for a couple of years more, really.
LS: Anything else you'd like to add?
V: Thank you very much for speaking with me, and I wish you all the best!
