TASHA SIMONE: IN A RAGE FOR RAZE

She's Baaack!

by Shiai Mata

As fans know, a severe injury did what no single opponent has ever been able to do: Sideline Tasha Simone for more than six months. The riotous redhead completely snapped her right ACL during a match last December, and there was some doubt on the part of her doctors as to whether she would ever be able to return to the ring.

But for Tasha, there could be no luxury of doubt. She would have surgery, she would undergo physical therapy, she would bide her time... and when the moment came, she would step back into the ring and resume bestowing havoc upon her opponents.

Happily (for the fans, at least... her opponents may feel otherwise), Ms. Simone is back, and more dangerous than ever!

She's also set her sights on a new target... Rebecca Raze.

Now, in a LadySports Online exclusive, here is Tasha in her own words:

"I have stated several times that I live my life by the laws of karma, whatever I do out, good or bad, will come back to me. My only rules in life are to take responsibility for my actions, and to give and get respect, because respect has absolutely nothing to do with like or dislike.

I have been in the ring with so many opponents through the years; I didn't like any of them, but I respected them, and I showed them respect. I have worked for many promoters and wrestling organizations, and usually wound up pissing most of them off, especially the PGWA, but I have always been respectful to them all, and I have always been given that same respect in return.

Here in lies the problem with Rebecca Raze.

Everyone knows that I finished shredding an already damaged ligament system on December 9, and that I had one of my knees reconstructed. I have also been perfectly honest, that this injury has been a true test of my will, and my love for wrestling, not only because of physical pain and recovery, but also from a battle with depression. I don't expect anyone to feel sorry for me, I don't need sympathy. My warm and glowing personality is just as venomous as ever, but I still demand respect.

During my recovery process, I was still attending wrestling cards with my team of C4P, and had the displeasure of meeting little Ms. Raze during a LAW event in Arkansas, when she wrestled a student of my husband and mine. Believe me, she comes across as 'The Girl Next Door', but I saw right through her... from the time she walked out of the curtain and around the ring, begging for the accolades of the usual bottom-feeding fans that attend wrestling, to the time she cheated my student out of a win, and walked back into the locker room. You see, Raze was stupid enough to look me in the eye, while I was on crutches and say, 'I beat up your student, and I'll take you on if you don't like it.' Many of the guys tried to set her straight about biting off more than she could chew, but she has a problem with keeping her mouth shut, and once more turned to me and stated, 'You don't look so tough with a bad wheel.' I had to be removed from the locker room at that point, and have been enraged ever since. I started hitting the gym hard the next day, pushing myself, trying to force my knee to heal faster than it should, my doctor refused to condone my actions, and I have lost all of my training partners. I finally demanded my doctor give me my release so I could return to the ring.

I was scheduled to return to the ring July 6 in Osceola, AR, the very place I snapped my ACL, but I was abducted on my way into the building by Memphis Wrestling manager Rashard Devon, and his 400 pound bodyguard Big Steve. The two handcuffed me, and carried me kicking and screaming to the ring, throwing me in to find none other than Rebecca Raze. As I attempted to fight back, still handcuffed, she kicked, beat, choked, and fed me to the waiting lions (Rashard and Big Steve) I felt a burning anger that I have never felt before, and then a very strange thing occurred, the fans of MCW, began to chant my name, begging me to fight back harder. I was finally able to hit Raze with my Hallucinator, but was immediately attacked by Devon and Steve; Derrick King and Chris Hollywood (son of the late Moondog Spot) finally came to run them out of the ring.

As I stood up, the fans continued to chant my name, and it was a very strange feeling to be sure. I was already angry, about being abducted, handcuffed and beaten, but I was also complimented that Raze felt she had to go these extremes to beat me, I was also impressed by her deviousness... and it is very hard to impress me. But I quickly overcame the feeling of compliment and being impressed, and that familiar burning anger began to overcome my entire body, afterall, I am Tasha Simone, I am not going to let some snot-nosed little girl get one over on me! I made a few phone calls, and arranged for little Ms. Raze to meet me in the ring again the following evening. This time, however, there would be no handcuffs to give her the edge.

The Saturday night confrontation that Raze and I had wasn't a match... it was a WAR. No one in attendance questioned whether or not we disliked one another... it was obvious from the instant we stepped into the ring. The previous evening, I was gifted with a black eye and a displace ribs, as well as bruises around my throat from being choked. My thank you gift to Ms. Raze: bruises around her throat, and a concussion from a well-placed headbutt. You see, I want Rebecca Raze to learn, when you play with fire, you will get burned... and when you make mr angry, you are not just playing with fire, you are toying with an inferno.

When all is said and done, and all the battles have been fought, Ms. Raze will learn not only to respect me, she will learn to fear me. I know this is a war that will wage for a long time, and I hope that the ring and the fans of the PGWA will be able to handle it, because it is only going to get more brutal from here on out.

Love, Peace and Pain, Tasha Simone"
