LADYSPORTS: Welcome to LadySports, Monica! Tell us, when did you first get into the sport?

MISS MONICA: Ciao! Thank you for having me. I started watching wrestling on TV when I was about 11 years old. I immediately loved it and I became a big fan. Three years ago I left Italy for following my dream and becoming a pro wrestler.

LS:
And who trained you?
MM Harley Race and Tom Prichard

LS:
What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
MM From the first time that I watched it, I dreamed to be a wrestler. My passion for this sport and the fact that I met my man in this business, push me to become a pro wrestler.

LS:
What other sports do you have an interest in?
MM In Italy I liked watching soccer, and my favorite player of all-time is Francesco Totti!

LS:
How would you describe yourself in terms of personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
MM I am the typical Italian girl, who really loves family, friends and good food! I love the competition, that' s why I like training hard to be better day by day. I like traveling, having fun on the road, and meeting many people from all over the world. This is another reason to love wrestling.

LS:
And what is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
MM I reppresent the Roman Dynasty with my man, Karim Brigante. We are legit Italians and that makes us different.

LS:
Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
MM I love training! In a week I usually work out three times in the gym with weights and three times wrestling training. They are both important for me, that's why I don't like to miss them! I like gym workouts, especially legs day, but what I like most is cardio conditioning in the ring.

LS:
How would you best describe your ring style?
MM I bring my Italian style in the ring. I like interacting with the crowd and I choose the best way to work with my opponent.

LS:
What moves are you best known for?
MM People like my finisher (headscissor into Fujywama armbar).

LS:
Have you ever been injured in the ring?
MM It happened, but fortunately nothing serious.

LS:
Who have been your toughest opponents?
MM Of course Nia Jax on "Monday Night Raw" when I wrestled as 'Ann Esposito'. In Europe I worked with Alpha Female... she is one of the toughest girl in the world! I love working with her!

LS:
Who are your allies?
MM Like I said before, I'm one half of the Roman Dynasty, so he is my biggest ally.

LS:
What has been your most memorable win?
MM At WLW Night of Champions 2 I won the Harley Race WLW Ladies Championship and I became the first legit Italian woman to win a championship in the USA.

LS:
What was your worst loss?
MM Last month I was so close to winning again the WlW Ladies Championship.

LS:
Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
MM I really want to wrestle my man Karim Brigante in a show. We have such a good chemistry. We haven't had the chance yet, but I hope we can do it soon!

LS:
What type of match do you enjoy the most?
MM Now I really like watching intergender matches. Girls can be tougher than boys!

LS:
And what sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
MM In Italy it wasn't easy to say to the people that I wanted to go the USA to be a professional wrestler. It's something so rare that makes me and my man so special. We had the bravery to do that, and now people respect our decision.

LS:
What are your fans like?
MM They are awesome!

LS:
If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
MM Sometimes I don't like backstage politics, so if I had the power I would eliminate them!

MM I wrestled in USA, Italy, Spain, England. I was WLW Ladies Champion, and I'm the 2016 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year.
