On the 21st of May, 2016 Wendi Richter stepped up to the microphone in Wichita Falls Texas
and began her speech to induct Leilani Kai into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Leilani began her wrestling career in 1975 as a tag team partner for the Fabulous Moolah.
From the beginning she wrestled in all the major venues in North America. After her
first trip to Japan she began a second career wrestling in the far east. She became a
main event wrestler there and eventually a champion.

After Moolah's Girl Wrestling Enterprises was absorbed by the WWF/WWE in 1983 she
defeated Wendi Richter to become the WWF champion in 1985 later losing the title to
Richter in the first Wrestlemania.

She continued with the company until 1989 winning and losing the tag team championship
with partner Judy Martin until the company lost their interest in women's wrestling.
Her final appearances with WWE were in 1994 as an opponent for Madusa.

At Ladysports.com, "we are very proud to have her as our PGWA Champion and that she was
awarded with the Penny Banner Spirit of Excellence Award. she was so instrumental in
making our promotion a success over the years."

In over forty years Leilani Kai has worked for every major promotion in the world.
In 2016 she was recognized by her peers for her accomplishments and for the countless
hours she had given to the business helping others with their careers.
