"The Princess" Chrissy Johnson

by S. Mata

Professional wrestling is forever attracting newcomers. For many of them, not achieving instant success is enough to drive them out. But for some, they know that success only comes with time and hard work... and more than a few bumps and bruises. Chrissy Johnson, who would be more than happy if you would address her as "The Princess," knows this as well as anyone, and she's not letting any rough nights dim her dream of making it to the top!

Height: 5'4"

Hair: Blonde with black undertones

Hometown: Avoca, Pennsylvania

LADYSPORTS: When did you first get into the sport?
CHRISSY JOHNSON: As a fan back in 1995, and I started training in '04.

LS: Who trained you?
CJ: Bruno Demaio, Rebecca Payne, Draven Blaze, Eric Pinhate.

LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
CJ: Seeing the ladies on TV... they were beautiful, yet talented! They could kick ass and look good doing so!

LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
CJ: Soccer, hockey and dance... yes, it's a sport!

LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
CJ: I do whatever it takes to get what I want, but I set limits for myself as to how far I'm willing to go. But that's a secret between myself and... well, myself.

LS: What is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
CJ: Like I said, I do what needs to be done and to get that win!

LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
CJ: Weights! When I do get that rare chance to work out, I work on my legs the most... they're my most powerful part of my body.

LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
CJ: I don't really have a style, I just do what feels right.

LS: What move are you best known for?
CJ: My running bulldog, that I aptly call "Devastation"!

LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
CJ: I hurt my back a few years ago while training, and was dropped on my head about a year ago in the ring.

LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
CJ: Rebecca Payne, hands down...that bitch could dominate!

LS: Who is your biggest ally?
CJ: Brian Beniot thus far

LS: What has been your most memorable win?
CJ: I haven't actually had a win yet.

LS: What was your worst loss?
CJ: So far, it was in my first match, against Sega and Rebecca Payne.

LS: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
CJ: I would love to get a shot at either Trish Stratus or Lita. Indy-wise, probably Lacey or Krissy Vaine.

LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
CJ: Straight up wrestling always works for me, but I would love to try to mix it up... maybe tables? That would be different.

LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
CJ: They're actually shocked! I'm a very peaceful person outside of the ring and when they hear I wrestle, they never believe me ‘till I show them proof.

LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
CJ: It lets me be someone that I'm not. It lets me show everyone what I'm about and show that girls could hang in the same league as the guys.

LS: What are your fans like?
CJ: They've been awesome to me so far! They never disappoint!

LS: If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
CJ: Less T & A matches, definitely! And the Diva Search, that would be no more.

LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
CJ: EGW,VCW and more currently, PCWA...no titles yet, but this year may prove otherwise.

LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
CJ: It's great! I think that more girls need to get involved and maybe someday we could overpower the guys.

LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the sport?
CJ: My first match, definitely! Coming out in front of the fans and getting to show them what I'm made of made me feel fantastic!

LS: Any regrets?
CJ: Never!!!

LS: What would you do if you couldn't be in wrestling?
CJ: I'd probably go back to school and maybe try Law...I've always been a fan of it....and if that fails, I would like to work in a morgue.

LS: What is your personal motto?
CJ: Negativity breeds confidence, spread the word. You've gotta take the GOOD with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you've got and remember what you had, always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes, but never regret, people change and things go wrong, just always remember...life goes on.

LS: What would make you most happy in life?
CJ: Getting to wrestle until the good Lord tells me it's time to stop!

LS: Anything else you'd like to add?
CJ: Come out and sing Happy Birthday to me... mine's on the 14th of February! And oh, yeah... check out my websites! I promise they'll all be updated shortly! All of you fans thus far have been wonderful! And I can't wait to show you what I have up my sleeve... .
